¸ Focus on the artistic craft of recording not just the science

¸ Simple secrets to cutting and mixing great tracks

¸ 14 six hour hands on courses

The SigmaSoundz Difference

¸ Maximum class size of 3 students

¸Only 2 students per class

¸ 7 day a week instructor availability

¸ Learn and work on your rig whether Mac or PC base

¸ Unique immersion instruction technique

¸ Record A Band, Edit The Recording, Mix The Song, And Master The Final Mix, Of Your Own Creative Project

¸ Learn How To Listen And Utilize Skills To Match The Mix Of A Grammy Award Winning Engineer

My whole course is based on DOING. The gauge I use to measure our students abilities is a mixing session where each student attempts to dissect and reconstruct a mix that I perform on a project that the class records. If at the end of the program a students can use, eq, panning, limiting, fx and reverbs to recreate a mix, then not only will they grasp recording techniques but they will also have learned how to LISTEN which is the first step in creating great recordings.

I went into Mikes class an amateur recording artist with no clue and no knowledge of ProTools last year. That changed real quick. Mikes uniquely aggressive teaching style caused me to adapt immediately with a whole different set of standards and quality control for my recording and engineering projects. After weeks of intensive study, I finished the class with a new air of confidence about the business. It wasnt easy, but it was worth it. Thanks man!

I went to Mike's recording instruction classes and it was probably the smartest thing I've ever done. He and his partner, Al, don't just teach you how to run Pro Tools, they make sure that you know every aspect of recording, from sound waves to microphones, from pro tools to big studio mixing boards. i went into the class as a musician hoping to gain some understanding of pro tools, and came out feeling ready to work as an engineer. In fact, I will begin working as an engineer in a recording studio this summer, not even 6 months after the classes finished.

Thanks, guys. I am eternally grateful.

If you are serious about becoming an engineer SigmaSoundz Recording Arts program is a necessity. I looked at other programs for months and after talking to Mike Tarsia for 5 minutes my mind was made up. Before I even started classes I was on the phone with Mike and Al and they were helping me get prepared before I even enetered the studio. Now I can't listen to a record without thinking about something that Mike has taught me. What you need to know about Mike is that he does this because he loves music. Its been a year since Ive graduated and I still talk to Mike about problems I encounter and he always encourages me to keep calling. He even came out to my home studio to give me advice on construction...etc. This class does not end after you complete all the assigments. Mike Tarsia will always be a mentor, and more importantly a friend.

-Nick Cislak, minusone studios

myspace.com/m1studios
