A William Blake Celebration featuring Michael Horovitz, Jude Rawlins, Jay Ramsay, Helen Moore, Christopher Twigg, Stephen Micalef and others.
An evening of poetry, performance and songs celebrating the publication of The William Blake Birthday Book: a limited edition artists' book published as a tribute to William Blake on his 250th anniversary.

Michael Horovitz is a jazz troubadour, singer-songwriter, visual artist, editor-publisher of New Departures, director-torchbearer of Live New Departures and Poetry Olympics Festivals. His latest book is "A New Waste Land: Timeship Earth at Nillennium".

Jude Rawlins is a writer, artist and rock singer with the band Subterraneans.

Jay Ramsay is the author, co-author & editor of over 3o books of poetry and non-fiction, most recently Crucible of Love - the alchemy of passionate relationships

Helen Moore is an eco-poet/environmental artist-writer

Christopher Twigg has published five poetry books and plays guitar and harmonica for the alternative country band Chicken of the Woods.

Stephen Micalef is a performance poet, founder of the Brixton poets and poet in residence at Decima Gallery

Rose Flint is a poet, writer, artist and art therapist. She has three collections published: Blue Horse of Morning (Seren), Firesigns (Poetry Salzburg) and Nekyia (Stride).

Peter Alfred Please is a writer and independent publisher

Niall McDevitt is an actor/musician and poet and leads Blake/Rimbaud/Yeats walks in London.

Liza Hayden is a poet, singer and actress

This celebration of William Blake presents a multi-media event by poets, musicians and artists inspired by his continuing legacy in contemporary artforms.



The participants are all contributors to the William Blake Birthday Book, which has acted as a focus to bring together this group of creative people.
