Hey MySpace,

I have decided that I want to express myself now...so here I am. Not that you should just all of a sudden care a whole lot about that...but I don't know, maybe you do.

And what's really up is me trying to tap into this pointelss-dribble-blog phenomenon. The most popular blogs in the world aren't about anything at all. I have two other niche blogs here on MySpace - one is brand spanking new, but the other is a few months old...and its only gotten a little over 1,700 views. Some people here get that many views in a day or a week...and they ain't talkin' 'bout NOTHIN'!!!!

NOTHING I TELL YOU, N-O-T-H-I-N-G!

I mean, why does your personal diary of how many times you farted and scratched your behind worth over 100 comments? I don't get it...

But then again, maybe I do. Seinfeld was a show about nothing....one of the most successful in television history. Maybe people just don't want to be deep...

Nope...I lost it. I thought I was on to something for a minute, but nope, its gone. So, I'm going to try my hand at this mindless babbling blog thing, and maybe lace it with some deep stuff that I can slip in on you unawares...maybe then we'll all be happy.

Talk to you soon,

Ivo

IC, I feel you on some of the more popular blogs being about "nothing".  But you have to keep in mind that for the most part, the blog thing here is more of a mixture of popularity and mainstream appeal.

When I first started blogging back in February, I only had 2 subscribers, now it's over a 100, but my blog is viewed a lot - and I owe that to God sending people my way, along w/the ever so popular Next Top Blogger Chart.

I encourage other bloggers to blog because they like it, and not for any other reason.  Some days you'll have more kudos and comments than you know what to do w/and other days, you may have none.

I don't really stress the kudos or comments, because we all read blogs from time to time w/out leaving a comment, so to me it's like you do or you don't.

So...just blog away, knowing that it's a release for you.  And if others would like to join you, then they'll appear....eventually, they'll come.

Thanks for the encouragement...

You know you're my blog hero, right?

I also understand that it takes time to establish an audience with a blog...and that I came out of nowhere with this...and that my personal musings are written in a voice that many may not appreciate...

But then again, that's the story of my life. But you know, I'm fine with that. I actually count it a good thing that I am not what our society calls "normal"...

I mean, not that I'm a freak or anything...just "quirky". That's the cute word for weird...oh wait, I have it..."eccentric"...

No...eccentric connotates a more Birkenstockish type of thing....

Oh well...who am I to try and put a label on myself, anyway? There I go again, succumbing to the pull of normality...

Talk to you soon...I will be off for most of the weekend braiding my hair...
