A youtube user by the name of lonelygirl15 was setup to promote this movie and it has really spread and captured a lot of people who think the user is a real person but it is all a promotion for this movie. Notice the 2nd movies plot, it fits right in with these videos being posted, it is almost what the start of the 2nd movie would be like except instead of watching videos made by them, it will prolly be showing it through the eyes of a camera and have higher production value. Although the director did make a fictional documentary about the murder of bill gates right here http://imdb.com/title/tt0274639/ so maybe he is going to put out a movie of just these webcam clips of her strung together which would be really cool, on imdb.com it does say the 2nd movie is already in production.
The videos of lonelygirl15 are setting up the movies, almost a prequel, which is really cool I like this whole promotion a lot it has tricked a lot of people I may actually check the flicks out, hope they are good as the promotion.
