THURSDAY'S PICK: SATISFACTION AT SOUTHBOUND
From the streets of London in 1962 to the stages around the world over the next 40 years, they’re the words that send shockwaves through rock ‘n’ roll audiences: “Ladies and gentlemen ... The Rolling Stones.” Tonight, the Rolling Stones tribute band Satisfaction will bring to Knoxville’s Old City what’s billed as a “Rolling Stones Experience.” The band has played in more than 40 states, taking listeners on a ride from the group’s beginnings to the “Bridges of Babylon” album, and fans around the world — as well as the Stones themselves — have taken notice of the “high energy way that Chris LeGrand and Satisfaction bring the Rolling Stones experience to the stage.” From opening for such major acts as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Starship, Foghat, Nazareth and Sammy Hagar to a Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Tribute Show in which both Keith Richards and Ron Wood requested to appear and take part, Satisfaction recreates The Rolling Stones every time they take to the stage. The group performs at 9 tonight at Southbound Bar and Grill, 106 S. Central St. in Knoxville’s Old City; admission is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
