Two good games for Spain. Deserved 6 points. Now we are in 2nd place. Back where we belong.

The last two away games were due or die for us. My man Manolo was in attendance roaring up the crowd with his big drum. Loads of Spanish fans were in attendance at both games to support our team.

Against Latvia the team still looked a bit shaky but we got the necessary 3 points. An OG and a goal by Xavi that richocheted off Iniesta's back. Luck was finally back on our side. Xavi was immense in the first game.

Against Liechenstein, alot of players were rested due to the upcoming extremely important La Liga games. Joaquin was our captain. Good for him and was a positive force in the game. David Villa, Cesc, and David Silva started out strongly. Villa got two early goals very classy ones at that. The first one Villa juked the keeper quite craftily. The second was a crazy bike, bicycle kick or chileno from the outside of his boot. Crazy and Classy! Gotta love him. He almost got a hattrick in the 2nd half when the Liechenstien keeper tripped him in the box. But Villa missed the pen. Damn! Silva also was very close one on a free kick. Mi Vasco, Xabi Alonso had a solid game. Nevertheless, good three points and now we are tied on 15 points with first place Sweden. Of course we still have not received the results from UEFA on the game that was called off this past weekend involving Denmark and Sweden. But very good results for La Furia Roja.

Just a note - the best news I received all day is that the old coot, Aragones will step down after the Euros. YES! Please go back on your word this time Luis!
