I'm surprised they didn't take away Marc's freedom of speech, which has happened recently in USA to a cannabis activist, who isn't allowed to speak, write participate in cannabis activism for two years.

As and American I take offense to your comment!
THe problem is that you forgot to type in the last half of it! to be accurate, and fair, it should of read:

Its time for Canada to pull its head form Americas butt, quikly followed by the U.S. Pulling its own head out of its ass.

I think this is something that Canadians, as well as Americans can agree upon.

Every official who let this happen should be ashamed.  No victims, not a crime in many U.S. states, and FIVE years! They cannot put the genie back in the bottle no matter how hard they try...

Fangs - 2009!

Pot smokers the situation is growing more urgent we must unite. We have to got to become 10 times as vocal as ever, we need to start getting in athorities faces when we protest, and above all we need to take some legal risks to advance the movement. Keep in mind that if they can take Marc, and Tommy they can take anyone of us, don't let those gun toting warmongers to the south of us tell us how Canada is allowed to govern itself, I encourage you to smoke in public (I do every day) force officers to write tickets and use their cuffs so we can get into the courts and start challenging these laws on Charter Rights grounds. Its not enough that the police don't arrest us, these laws must come off our books, the laws prohibiting possession of this harmless plant, must come off the books nation wide. If we have to start showing up on city hall doorsteps burning weed, to cause public debate to intensify, then stand up, jail isn't that scary (risking jail for change is noble indeed, just ask Nelson Mendela), stand up, your rights are being trampled, stand up, make sure the public faces this issue once and for all. What are we all waiting for I know you can feel that fire inside, don't relax and let it melt away get active?

Marc, I am sorry that you have to endure the insanity of our laws here in the U.S., and am sickened by the fact that some believe we have the right to impose our bullshit on other countries as if we owned some moral right... but there is nothing moral about Marijuana being illegal... nothing moral about incarcerating people for using it... and nothing moral about trying to extend the already overstepped boundaries of authority across international borders. It is a sick policy, and to think that all of this noise is about a few seeds and some plants is beyond sad. It is completely insane, and may actually be grounds for an extremely large worldwide lawsuit, since the makers of these laws clearly have mental health issues... dangerous mental health issues... bringing nothing but harm to innocent members of society, and causing millions of young people to be exposed to more expensive and extremely dangerous drugs like Oxycontin, and Meth. I sincerely hope that with our new President, some common sense might be written into this picture, so that you can be left alone. You are a man who has done more to bring respect to Marijuana than almost anyone on this planet. You deserve gratitude, and for what it is worth, you damn sure have mine. Thank you, Marc, I hope this can be turned around in your favor. Sincerely: Greenbudsmoker

Marc I think it would be worth a shot to ask your freedom-loving friends online to petition Obama for your immediate pardon. What are they gonna do next year when California legalizes cannabis for adults?
