Well, 2007 is looking promising. I'm definitely playing with The Promise now - and we've got gigs arranged for most of the major events of the Scouting Centenary, one of which is going to be broadcast around the world on TV, and one of which is in the Dome in front of the Queen!! So... wow. I'm really hoping that this isn't all going to suddenly fall through.
In slightly less certain news, I've had some interest from someone who was behind quite a few well known people (I can't remember exactly who my Dad said, now... think Mark Knopfler was one of them though! I'll try and be more specific when I remember...). He said he liked my songs - enough to call up and leave a message saying so, and give us his home phone number - so here's hoping! I'm not getting too excited about that though. I learnt a while back that it's really not worth getting too hopeful about these things.
Other than that, things are going well for me on a smaller scale. I'm writing the score for the German play at uni, which should be a lot of fun - the songs are amusing to write, and it's def improving my German! I'm also going to be in the music theatre revue, which should be a laugh. Haven't done any MT on stage since GSA, so I've missed it a bit. (Well, quite a lot... being on stage is one of my favourite things in the whole world)
I'll probably be recording my most recent stuff in the next month or so, so I can finally change the tracks listed on here. Also, I'm going to be making an actual, proper demo soon, so I've got something properly produced to show people. So watch this space!
