I am watching a DVD documentary on C.S. Lewis and The Screwtape Letters, which are a collection of imaginary letters between a senior demon and a junior demon regarding how to tempt and seduce a mortal human.
A thought came to me, as I listened.
Freewill is a gift which God gives, both to angels and to humans.
Those who, in turn, choose to give that gift back to God, in the form of obedience, or surrender of freewill, those are the good and blessed.
Those who choose to keep the gift of freewill, are the ones who are fallen and evil.
