Amazingly, I liked it.

Taking Abby's advice, I went in with high expectations of a parody. From that angle, I must say, the damn thing did manage to be decent. I loved Charlie, adored Alice, and liked Eric in a way I never liked him in the book.

I don't feel like spoiling anything, and any of my friends that care have already seen it twice so this is more like me adding my thoughts to theirs.

I won't call this an intellectual blockbuster by any stretch of the imagination, but it was cute. Had a lot of 'purely added in for teen hormones' cheesy dialogue and the Twitard behind me was quoting Edward's lines, but I had a rather fun time.
There were some wonderfully funny parts, both intentional and unintentional.
  Jasper...wow...what can I say, he looked like that stick up his butt was in there far enough to irritate his tonsils.
  The Cullen boys need to stop sharing lipstick with each other, it's just not their shade.
  While we're at it, sparkling boyfriends....yeah, on second thought, not hot. It looked like he was about to break into a chorus of Dancing Queen.
  Alice=love
  I want to hang out with Emmett.
  Charlie and the flippin' pepper spray! Ohhhh what a dad.

Then after the movie I got to stuff myself with sushi, but they were all out of steamed buns and tiny cakes. *pout*

High point of the night:
Watching Bella up on Edward's back as he climbed the trees. She totally rubbed on his wang with her foot.

Low point of the night:
Squeeing Twitard and her horny housewife mother bitching about parts of the book they cut out....over and over and over...that is, when they weren't quoting lines in a breathy, wanton, voice.

Verdict:
Good enough, cute enough, funny enough. Not a waste of money and I will probably buy it when it comes to DVD.
It made me remember I used to love these books, and it was fun laughing at.
