Hello you,
I had an unexpected call from The Library this afternoon to inform me that they've just had their entertainment license temporarily revoked...sooo...that means no PA system which means I had to decide whether to cancel or relocate. The line up is tremendous so I couldn't cancel it! (It's even recommended by Time Out this week!)
So, after a good few hours on the phone, I've found somewhere. It's a quirky, intimate venue with a nice stage, good sound, food, three balconies and even beds (yes, beds for chilling on!) Apparently they do mean cocktails too. (Five of them for me please after todays shenanigans!)
THE NEW VENUE:
THE BRICKHOUSE 152 BRICK LANE LONDON E1 6RU The venue is located in the heart of Brick Lane in east London, directly opposite 'the Vibe bar'. It's within walking distance of Liverpool Street Station and a stones throw from Aldgate East tube station. http://www.thebrickhouse.co.uk Doors: 7pm. Showtime: 8pm Entry: £5 or £3 on advanced guest list/Facebook friends list Jen xx A reminder of the line up: Hosted by our favourite vampy performance poet, Sophia Blackwell...special guests include:
