McCain made a brilliant move in choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate--I think she's as far right as Hillary is to the left, but I also believe that it would be ignorant not to consider supporting a McCain/Palin ticket, and I've been a blue-blood Democrat for 25 years...
If nothing else, her nomination is a slap in the mouth to Obama, who SHOULD HAVE chosen HRC as his running mate--those two would have won by a landslide, but instead was essentially stuck with big-mouthed Joe Biden, who can make up for Obama's lack of experience in foreign policy and national security. However, over the past week anyway, and seeing the rock star following of Barack Obama, I now have come to believe that Hillary Clinton is really better than all that pomp and circumstance--she's always been in this for the long haul, and if that means 2012, then so be it. Let those two men have each other!
My feeling is that come November, Obama will lose this election. But in the unlikely event he does take the presidency, is there ANY guarantee that the "good old boys" in Washington are going to take him seriously, and listen to a damn word he says? In my heart of hearts, I just don't think so...
We shall see...
