Lately, i have been making songs in a day, and recording them as soon as I can master the chords I come up with. I record in my home studio. Although, lately, I am looking to record in a studio with bigger and better equipment than my Garage Band on my Mac. Hey, at least I am documenting the art as soon as it happens rather than merely ignoring it or forgetting it.
I am currently looking to adjust the orchestration around the sound to what the sound needs. The sound definitely needs percussion, flute and cello. I feel that deeply.
I will start auditioning flute and cello players soon, as I have some people in mind (but they will not play without pay). Putting together a musical project is quite hard if you don't have the money to back it up and you are playing for free (or tips). I have been blessed to have the band experience with so many talented musicians already (like Pinky Mendez, Mystery TMan, Wilson Beatz, Sarah Carrier, Kevin Spinner, Nick Gambacorta, etc....), who didn't mind playing without dough, and I am looking to adjust the sound for distribution.
I keep making CD deadlines, that don't fall through. So, I am just going to be patient and persistent. What else can I do?
