this is my opinion post on the vanessa hudgens naked pictures scandal.  i know that i'm going to hear all kinds of things about this subject since everyone knows how in love with high school musical (and hsm 2) i am.  so, here goes:

i think that whatever anyone wants to do in private is their business.  it's not mine, it's not yours, and it is most certainly not the tabloids.  on that note, i do understand the importance of being a role model and being in the public eye.  should vanessa have ever allowed herself to be put in this position?  no.  but, we are all human, we all make mistakes, and unfortunately if you are someone in the public eye your mistakes are bound to be fodder for gossip columnists and bloggers across the world.  it doesn't help that miss vanessa is the star of one of the most wholesome family movies ever made for the king of wholesome family television stations.  i really hope that she can bounce back from this and that the disney corporation doesn't make a huge deal out of this, because that would cause even more of a scandal.  so my official opinion on this matter is this: vanessa made a mistake.  i still think she's a great role model for children and i hope that she has learned that her place in society means that, sadly, she can't be just a normal teenage girl.

if you have a comment i'd love to hear it, but this is my opinion and i won't argue it.  if you don't like it, oh well.
