Needed are versatile male and female actors from ages 13 to 60+ to help us fill our many dramatic, comedic and musical roles. A variety of dramatic and comedic roles are available as we return this year to our original storyline in King Arthur of Camelot’s court with a day of Tournaments and Living Chess. Comical actors are needed for the troupes of actors specializing in Comedy and Fairy tales. Experienced combat fighters, men and women, over the age of 18 will have the opportunity to audition for fighting roles in the Main Storyline shows. Boys and girls from ages 13 to 16 are needed as squires. Experienced and novice puppeteers are needed for our Punch & Judy and other puppet shows. Experienced and novice performers are needed to interact with the audience as wenches, peasants, courtiers, jugglers and mimes. Singers are needed for both the Revellers Troupe and the Wenches & Rogues Shows. Dancers are needed for the Revellers Troupe as well. Musicians of all types are also encouraged to audition, either to play in a group or alone.
For those auditioners who will be younger than 16 when our festival opens, please note that you will need to have one of your parents accompany you to auditions.
Instrumental Musicians please bring a prepared piece. Singers and dancers will be taught a brief number to audition with. Auditioners interested in fighting roles will be tested for agility and coordination, and should come dressed in loose-fitting attire. All other roles will require auditioners to read from provided scripts.
We are also looking for Technical theatrical help such as stitchers, set designers and builders, props staff, stage managers, booth staff, gaming staff and administrative staff. So if you would like to be involved but don't want to act, we can still use your help.
