So you say our name is not correct French. You're right. We know. But we like it that way. :) We know it shouldn't be "La," but we kind of like it because it sounds like singing - la la la la! And singing makes songs, chansons. So yeah, we know it's wrong, but to us, it's sooo right! And hey, it's a just a band name right? Who says it has to be correct? So that's the story of our name.

actually La IS the correct way to pronounce it

Chansons in french is a feminine word for example,

Une Chansons (un is masculin)

and

La Chansons

so in the end you guys are on it. p.s. love your music!!!
