PRESS RELEASE - AUGUST 2008

FIONA BOYES: NEW PROJECTS, PARTNERS & PLANS!

FIONA BOYES has confirmed plans to record a new studio album in September, again joining forces with Memphis label Yellow Dog Records.  After the success of her BMA nominated album 'Lucky 13', Fiona plans to continue her fruitful collaboration with producer Mark 'Kaz' Kazanoff and engineer Stuart Sullivan at Wire Recordings in
Austin, TX.

The recording session has been brought forward to fit around a busy touring schedule in the later part of the year.  With several major festivals booked in Australia, Fiona has decided to focus on her Southern Hemisphere commitments from October to early 2009.  She will still be available for showcase US performances during this period and maintains her Pacific NW base in Portland, OR.

While Steve 'The Preacher' Clarke continues his successful on-going management role, Fiona has recently joined with Sara Negri-Whitmer of Washboard Productions, Memphis, to handle her USA and European bookings.  Fiona will be available for touring during the Northern Spring/Summer and looks forward to renewing her contact with audiences all over the US and Canada during 2009.

In addition to performing solo acoustic, and electric with her band The Fortune Tellers, Fiona will also be available in an acoustic trio format with 'Boyes, Brill and DelGrosso'.  Joining Fiona in this ensemble is blues mandolin-master Rich DelGrosso and BMA-winning bassist Mookie Brill, as featured on their 2008 Blue Empress/VizzTone release 'Live From Bluesville', recorded at XM Satellite Radio.

Fiona's Official Website – www.fionaboyes.com – has now been completely re-built.  That's where you'll find tour schedules, bio and background information, pages showing Fiona's guitars, gear, endorsements and more…
