2. HEAR ANDREW'S NPR "ART OF THE SONG" INTERVIEW
Andrew along with bassist and sidekick Sean Kelly were heard on nearly 200 stations last week on the National Public Radio show The Art of the Song , discussing the mysteries and mechanisms of the creative process with producers Vivian Nesbitt and John Dillon. You can stream the hourlong interview and performance anytime beginning this week, http://www.artofthesong.org/tune-in/shows/show-247/.

3. NEW BEYOND BORDERS VIDEOS
As promised last month, and with deep thanks to some great audio and video editing work by band engineer Dustin DeLage, we have four single-song clips of the band from their May 9th concert that included big-screen projection backdrops of Andrew's photography and videography. Enjoy "How High the Mountain", "The Road to Appomattox", "Count Your Blessings" and "Beyond Borders" (complete with Lisa's drum solo!) at http://www.andrewmcknight.net/videos

Please feel free to rate or comment on them at YouTube, and/or share them on Facebook, Twitter or wherever else.

4. SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUE HITS THE BAND
We are all still in a bit of shock this month with the news that Andrew's bandmate Les Thompson has been diagnosed with hypopharyngeal cancer, a rare throat cancer. While he is currently feeling fine and going about his daily life as the new Technical Director at our local Franklin Park Arts Center, the probable treatment is several weeks of outpatient radiation and chemotherapy, likely beginning in late October. Les may have to take a hiatus from the band for awhile, though no upcoming concert dates are being changed at this point.

For now, we are doing two things - encouraging people even more so to come to one of the remaining autumn band dates on our calendar (see above) so we can send Les into treatment on a wave of good energy and karma. We've set up an email account, getwellles@andrewmcknight.net for good wishes and other positive thoughts you'd like to share, and when the treatment effects get intense, we'll print them out and share them with him in person. He and Stephanie are understandably pretty overwhelmed trying to figure out everything about the cancer and the treatment, so they aren't able to respond to very many phone messages and emails, but are very much appreciating each and every one.

We are all cautiously optimistic and hopeful, and appreciate your support and good wishes. We'll have updates on the journey and news of any date changes at the website, and look forward to having Les healthy and well again as soon as possible.
