In so many ways Sky lived his life on the other side, I never met anyone like Sky, he was unique and one of a kind.
I always thought he would out live us all, he just had that special mojo you don't see too often.
He gave me my name nick name "Rock N Roll Crusader"
he said because I never quit playing music no matter how many problems we had with various line ups, he and I we're always down to keep going, to do a third and fourth encore while on tour in Europe, when the rest of the guys wanted to stop, he said as long as the fans want it I'll give it to them.
Man, he would even keep going all night with fans that he met at the show, go home with them and show up the next day with a CD or tape of his new jams and be ready to get in the bus and hit the next town and do it again. All the while inhaling many party favors, It was hard for men half his age to keep up with that.
He never stopped playing at all, I hear he played a show the week before he went in the hospital.
You know you could drop Sky off anywhere on the planet and he would start a band with the locals and some one would know who he was, he was a Rock and Roll survivor.
Starting this tour on Saturday and now losing Sky from this earth, I don't know, I know he will be with us in spirit and influence.
Really numb right now, can't believe he left.
Here's a pic of the album we did together.
