Yep, it's official. I've severed ties with Farpoint Media, a family of podcasts that I helped to create with Summer Brooks and Michael R. Mennenga.

That means that I'm no longer hosting any shows, including Slice of Scifi and Wingin' It!. To the best of my knowledge, Slice will continue. The future of Wingin' It!, already slated to end in on New Years, is obviously in question.

To the fans: I'm truly sorry for the abrupt departure. I know I've let many of you down and I wish there was another option for me. But alas, there was not. Thanks for listening to me on the programs. I hold no ill will towards Farpoint and the many podcasts flying under their banner. In fact, I wish them all success and consider many of the hosts of those programs among my closest friends.

All other projects of mine, from Fun Anymore and Podiobooks.com will remain in full swing and were unaffected by this change.

E.

you, and everybody else on SoSF kept up a very professional attitude during all this (at least to what us listeners could notice), I guess that's why so many of us are surprised by what we see as an "abrupt ending".

Thank you for creating such a great podcast

Well Keith, I'd love to take credit for the professional attitude. But truth be told, this hit me out of the blue on Sunday. I'm good, but not that good! ;P

Sad day, Evo. You do such a great job at keeping the show moving, even if you might interrupt Summer's news one time too many. I'll miss having your smart ass sense of humor in my ears. Hope to still see you at a con every once in a while, and I hope to bring more books to Podiobooks.com. Thanks for all the work you do over there. It's top notch.

I hope this ending opens doors to something even better foe you Evo! Honestly your the main reason I listen to farpoint podcasts, but hopefully this will allow more time for Cult casts :)

I'm still planing on being in Arizona the weekend of the 16th any chance you want to play tour guide on sunday when I make my first trip to The Grand Canyon? ;) I'll Even buy you some beer!

If not take care and I hope to run into you at DragonCon or somewhere.

Well there has been a lot of speculation on the reasons why you are leaving here and over at the FPM forums. A lot of confusion has arisen. However I don't think it really matters, you were very professional about your departure and we the fans thank you for that.

The past couple of years of Slice of SciFi and Wingin' It have been the best and they won't be the same without you.

I hope to hear from you again sometime.

Take Care!

Yea
I know that I have to listen to Podcast novels in order for them to make sense, but wingin' it ?

I miss a couple of shows come back w/out catching up.

everythings screwed up, soap opera style.

Maybe its that famous Az heat, makes people jumpy.

Maybe a move to a higher elevation?

I'm so out of the loop I didn't even find this out until today. Man, between this and overhearing my roommate having sex last night I'm just going to feel weird all damn day.

What??
The first hint I had about this was listening to Wingin' It and them saying you were no longer on the show! I guess that is what I get for falling behind on the podcast listening.

Evo, the best of luck in your present and future adventures.
