If you don't understand something of a technical nature, say how to set up a firewall on your computer or something of that nature, I can understand that.
If you ask for help with something of a technical nature, I can understand that.
If you don't know what "flashing" and "firmware" mean and you go ahead and try to flash your firmware for... say, your router or PSP in an attempt to add unofficial features without doing any sort of research into what you are supposed to really be doing and it doesn't work... well, you got what you deserved.
Moron A owns router model B. Moron A finds out about 3rd party firmware for routers. Firmware page clearly says "firmware supports routers from Company X, Y and Z, router models T, R and D". Moron A flashes router model B with firmware for model T, ignoring huge neon warning signs. Moron A cries.
Moron B finds out about font hack for PSP, allowing you to change the font being used by the firmware UI. Moron B finds out that TrueType fonts need to be run through an automated font conversion program before they can be used. Moron B for some reason believes WinRAR can do it. Moron B flashes resulting RAR file to firmware. Moron B cries.
Moral of the story: do not play with 3rd party hacks that have permanent consquences without first finding out EVERYTHING about it. If you still don't understand, ASK SOMEONE WHO DOES. Most of all, DO NOT START A SCREAMING MATCH WITH THE CREATORS OF SAID 3RD PARTY HACKS BECAUSE OF YOUR OWN IGNORANCE.
Thank you.
