I have noticed a lot of people that do not even want to begin to accept the fact that I along with many many other people do not eat meat. I honestly do not see the big deal about it. It makes you no less of a woman or a man. Criticizing others for not eating meat would be like criticizing another for being gay. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have gotten shit mail on youtube, myspace, or even in real life. You wear anything that has to do with PETA you are automatically assumed to be a crazy liberal psychotic terrorist. What people who do not even know PETA don't understand is the fact that not all PETA members are the same. There are alot of crazy missions that PETA has issued.. such as comparing the slaughter of animals to the holocaust. For one, me personally, i believe that it is not even right to begin to compare such a tradegy in American history to the slaughter of animals. Don't get me wrong though, slaughtering animals is sick and inhumane. Also, PETA's campaign comparing the slaughter of animals to the innocent murder of the civilian on the bus being shot.. I am not saying that I do not support PETA. I do, I am just merely pointing out that not all PETA members are the same. Also, being an animal rights activist. All I can say to people who hate "our kind" the "kind" who fight for fairness, fight for a good cause, or what not, is that not all animal rights demostrations are violent. In fact, PETA urges their members to have a peaceful demonstration. Before all of you crazy people who diss on my beliefs, I would just like to point out that PETA is not the same thing as the A L F(animal liberation front) PETA members do not go and burn down slaughterhouses or break into science labs and free animals. Such events as those are what the ALF does. Another thing that people who are agaisnt PETA and vegetarians/vegans automatically assume is that we hate people who eat meat. Alot of more mature PETA members in fact are in a relationship or married to a person who consumes meat. I am one such example. My son is also being raised on eating meat. I do not go to such extremes as failing to provide my child with the protein a growing child will need. Thank you for hearing me out..
