So I had the big ultra sound today. The mid pregnancy one. So first things first my cervix: It looks great, so far no opening. It did shorten a little from 4 cm to 3 1/2 cm, but my drs have assured me that it is still in the normal range and that at this stage it does start to shorten. So as long as it is over 3 cm I am good. If I dip below 3 cm before 24 wks then I will be put on bed rest, if not I will still be put on bed rest at 23/24 wks. Right at Christmas, I don't wanna have to spend Christmas on bed rest, but what ever I need to do for JJ, then I will do it. If my cervix gets close to 2cm then they will put me in the hospital. At some point before JJ comes I will be put in the hospital for the rest of my pregnancy, however I am hoping that is not till Feb or March, but whenever Dr Powers wants me to go into the hospital, then I will have to do it, again anything to keep JJ put for a while.

 

So on to JJ, he is doing perfectly. He finally got off of my pelvic bone. I am very happy about this, although it scared me a little because I have not felt him move alot, because I could feel every move when he was on my pelvic bone and let me tell you it hurt. He is breech right now, which is fine, he does like to kick my bladder (especially when it is full). He has plenty of amniotic fluid and everything is growing nicely. He only measured 18w 6d, but the drs said that is fine and he is perfect. Everything is growing the way it should and he is perfect. His heart rate has become lower than in was, it was 145 today, but it has been in the 140's but again that is normal and perfect. His head is just below my bellybutton and I am finally starting to get a little belly. And he cooperated with us today and got a really good money shot, then after we got it he crossed his legs, LOL. He was sucking his thumb today, I wish they had got a pic of that, but that is ok, I am sure I will get one at some point down the line.

 

So for me everything is going great. I am feeling good, tired all the time, but good. I have been having problems with numbness in my legs when sitting and standing and especially when I wake up in the morning, the dr says that is normal that it just sounds like he is on a nerve and because when I change position is goes away that I am fine and to just keep doing what I am doing. I have developed sharp pains in my pelvic region, around the bottom and sides of my belly and in my hips, those are normal to, they are just my regiments pulling. Dr. Powers says that it is more common in a 2nd pregnancy than a first. So I am like yeah. But I told her today that this pregnancy is slow and boring, but I will take it over the one I had with Harleyann any day. She said lets keep it boring :)

 

So as you can see both JJ and I are doing fine and I am able to go to my sisters in Powhatan (about 45 mins away from my house) for Thanksgiving. I am happy to be able to spend it with them :-) My next apt is Dec 1st for a cervix check and prenatal apt.
