My apologies to DAHLGREN PROPHESY and SHINDLER'S FIST. In my summer band review, I accidentally left these two bands out. Fortunately, it was brought to my attention and that review has been edited to include these bands.

As I develop this site, I'm hoping to give my blogs more individual attention to the shows and not be grouping all under one entry.

It is my privilege to be close with some of the people who entertain us and I know how much sacrifice goes into doing what they do. There is practice time and sometimes that takes away from families. Some of these bands travel hours to play a show. They have to buy and repair equipment. One of my friends lost 2 amps at the same bar at 2 different shows. Guess who had to buy new ones. They lay out tons for merchandise and sometimes they give it away. And to be honest, some of the local bands we watch ( Did you pay a cover charge? Maybe not and if you did, was it really that much?) they are not getting paid a lot of money for the job they do.

They deal with drunks and sometimes fights. They deal with hecklers and "Fee Bird!"

Women will flash boobs or do other sexually explicit things and although some of the guys might enjoy this, some don't and their women have to witness this. Because of this, some of my friends don't get the support from their wives. I know one guitar player who's wife I have never met. She doesn't want to see another female throwing herself at her husband. Another friend has to calm his wife on a regular basis because of what another woman did while he saw singing

So, you see, there's more to this than just light and sound and a big party. These people do this because they love the music and they love the crowd.

Again, I am truly sorry for omitting DAHLGREN PROPHESY and SHINDLER'S FIST from my original post and I hope I did not offend anyone.
