There was some confusion and alot of overlap between the LayerZ and Audiovoid monikers as far as styles, genre, etc. When people would ask what the musical difference was between the two I really didn’t have an answer. Because, to tell you the truth, when I 1st came up with the LayerZ moniker I wasn’t necessarily intending on there being a huge discernable difference. Infact at the time I was intending on shifting my artist name over to LayerZ and slowly phasing out the name Audiovoid.
Ultimately, I decided not to do that. And during that same time ended up releasing two dubstep oriented tunes on Muti Music under the name LayerZ as well as a handful of digital download tunes on Addictech under BOTH monikers. But still with tons of genre crossover.
SO, I have since decided to do a catalog change and fully spilt the two monikers apart. My LayerZ stuff will be (mostly, but NOT entirely limited to) dubstep-oriented material while Audiovoid will be for all of the other Glitchy, Psychedelic, and generally more heavy stuff.
As a result, I had to do an official catalog change on addictech so everything that was up there is now cataloged as Audiovoid.
To everyone who has bought my LayerZ material from addictech I apologize for the Artist name change and any potential confusion that this may cause.
And of course Thanks everyone for all of the warmth and support.
More aural madness is on it’s way. And very soon.
