Hi Everyone,
I want everybody to know I'm in an online contest with my music. It's at a place called FameCast.com. They have weekly song contests, and the winners with the most votes receive cash prizes to help with their career, reviews in big publications like SPIN, and good things like that. Every year or something, they fly all the highest rated artists to some city for a big showcase, and have big grand prizes for each musical "category" of $10,000. It's real, too - I have 3 very talented friends who have won this. I finally got clued to this site, and already two of my songs are in for the weekly contests due to fan ratings, which is pretty cool.
So I need you all to VOTE! And once per day, starting tonight - Monday - at midnight, until next Monday at midnight. It sounds like a pain in the ass...and maybe it is a little bit...but frankly, whatever I can win is about all I have these days to record new material the way I want to, so you'd be helping out the career. You have to log into the site, but once you do, I promise you there are no unnecessary emails that will clutter up your inbox. I am told that the confirmation email can sometimes take awhile, but once you get it, you're in. Once you're in, you just go to the page, scroll halfway down and find me in the choices...and vote! There are 14 songs per category, so there's an actual shot to come out on top.
I promise I will be a right pain in the ass all week emailing you to vote. If I win, though, I'll find a way to make it worth your while.
