Information about my work, availability, and how to get it.
Tom House/ POB 120661/Nashville, TN/37212
All CD's recorded at Robb Earls Sound Vortex studio here in Nashville, except for  BURNING WITH THE MESSAGE, recorded at George Bradfute's studio, very organically just Scott Chase on percussion and mouth harp and myself.

"inside these walls" 1996 released on cassette Tom and guitar re-released on CD June
2009
Checkered Past and Catamount Co. CD's:
THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS CHANGING
THIS WHITE MAN'S BURDEN
TIL YOU'VE SEEN MINE
JESUS DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE
LONG TIME HOME FROM HERE
THAT DARK CALLING
THE LAST DESPERATE MAN
There is also a 20 song CD I wrote 8 of them but play guitar/sing harmonies (with Tommy Goldsmith & Karren Pell) on all the songs a stage adaptation of Lee Smith's Novel FAIR & TENDER LADIES, commissioned by the Alabama Shakespeare Festival              and a CD
RAW BONE (named after a poetry magazine I put out the mid 80's to early 90's) featuring my poetry, spoken word, and a few a capella songs.
All recordings are $15 P&H for one, $10 each additional one. More than 2 0r 3 purchased at one time, we can negotiate some of the details.
The Last two CD's are available at CD Baby.
There is also a 200 page collection of my poetry, THE WORLD ACCORDING TO WHISKEY, published by Court Street Press in Montgomery, AL (2003) It retails $17  $3 P&H
I also now have a Pay Pal Account so we can go that way too.
I appreciate the interest my work I've found on this site. I sell the recordings cheaper and the book the same price as the companies that put them out.
Cash, money order, or personal check all fine.
I can be reached here at My Space and at  tomhouse2@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Tom

Discovered this blog comment today when I received one from someone else. Not sure how it slipped by me before. You are right. Lee is an absolutely wonderful person. With Tommy and Karren, we've shared some shows with her where she read and we sang the songs from the play and I did it solo with her once at a book festival in Charlottesville, VA and I tell you, you get the residual love her fans feel for her; it is an outstanding feeling.

The play premiered I think it was '98 and has had  a number of subsequent productions. This June The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is reprising the original cast (and the lead actress, who was part of the developmental program when we were constructing that first production, Greta Lambert, is first-rate star material) and the idea is this whole production moves off-Broadway this Fall. Got all my fingers crossed.  We're trying to promote it all we can. In fact I need to get a package and CD to DVX.

I told Uncle Gram at WUSC about you. I was down there weekend before last for a radio show and house concert. He'd listened to your MySpace songs and was very intrigued. On the way home, I stopped off in Knoxville at The Disc Exchange figuring that was one place I could get your CD. Nope, their computor said you were only way. If you're up for an exchange, I can send you the F&TL CD for yours (can send you other stuff or a couple of bucks as well---hell I'm getting old and I've got boxes of CD's everywhere my small apartment)

Let me know. Love to hear your work.

Tom

Hey Tom, I'm planning on buying a few of your albums next month. Which one has Mockingbird on it again? I love that song more than any I've ever heard in my life!

What's up, my friend?  Looks like you're getting down there your picture. Mockingbird is on "The Neighborhood is Changing." Waiting out what winter there is down here. Tried to find you on the map. You must be in Chicago somewhere? Trying to put together a show in Carbondale. Got some friends down there. that's miles from you though, I'd imagine.

Take care

Tom
