Most of this FAQ is from the BLACK THRONE TATTOO site, but some things have been editted and added so they are more specific to me. HOW DO I BOOK IN FOR TATTOOING?
- Because I'm
are implicating a new system for making appointments, all clients,
whether new or old must complete THIS FORM and return to blackthronetattoo@gmail.com
- My partner Greg will be handling all inquiries and making all the bookings, so you will generally not be in contact with me personally. This new system should make things a lot smoother, more organised and enable me to focus entirely on drawing and tattooing.

Please keep in mind, i do not necessarily take on every piece asked of me. Because of my large workload, i now only take on pieces that i will
really enjoy, regardless of whether you are a previous client or not. So once Greg has received your completed booking form, he
will then let you know if it is a piece I wish to take on. You
will then either be booked in or added to a waiting list depending on my current workload and the size of the piece you desire. You will be contacted once I have an opening in my schedule.
HOW DO I BOOK IN FOR LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?

DO I NEED TO PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT?

Yes. Once an appointment is finalised, we require you either to drop in
your deposit in person or via direct deposit to our bank account. The
deposit is 20% of your booked time up front. Your appointment will not
be guaranteed until we receive a deposit and is not refundable within
48hours of your appointment.
WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE?
- $150 per hour, with a minimum of two (2) hours per piece. Sorry, no small work (under 2 hours).
CAN I PAY WITH EFTPOS / CREDIT?
- No sorry, we accept cash only.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We don't wish to publish our address as we want to keep our studio
quite low key and discourage walk in clientèle, so once you are booked
in, we will send you our address, which we then ask you keep to
yourself.
WHAT IS YOUR PHONE NUMBER?
- We don't have a phone in the studio, and I will no longer be using my mobile phone to make bookings, all inquiries to blackthronetattoo@gmail.com.

WHAT DAYS AND HOURS DO YOU WORK?
- Thursday - Monday 12pm - 7pm by appointment only.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TATTOOING?
- I started in November 2003, so as of now, almost 6 years. I was taught by Link and Clint at All Star Tattoo.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WON'T TATTOO?

Necks, hands, knuckles, heads and faces, unless you are a tattooer and
very heavily tattooed (ie no more space left anywhere else on your body
- NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Anything racist
- Pregnant women
- People undergoing chemotherapy
- People with transmittable blood diseases
- People under the age of 18 (QLD state law)
- People with poor attitudes
HOW MUCH IS A FULL SLEEVE?

Unfortunately I cannot quote a time or price for large work. It is
impossible to tell how long a piece like this will take, but I can
generally give you a rough idea once the sleeve etc is underway.
I
also ask that you try not to give me time restraints (ie. I need my
sleeve done in a month). These things take time and that's all there is
to it, I will work faster and more productively without that kind of
unnecessary pressure.
CAN I BRING MY CHILD/CHILDREN WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?
- Under no circumstances may you bring your children with you into the studio... NO EXCEPTIONS
CAN MY FRIEND ETC COME IN AND WATCH ME GET TATTOOED?

No sorry. We don't allow anyone in the tattoo area, except the person
getting tattooed at that time. We ask that all our clients, please come
alone. It puts unnecessary pressure on both the tattooer and the client
when someone is sitting and waiting for the session to finish. Come
alone, bring your ipod, relax and we can both get through the piece
faster, with better results and without distraction.
The studio is a our professional workspace, not somewhere to hang out.
CAN YOU TATTOO THIS DRAWING I / MY FRIEND / ANOTHER TATTOOER DREW?
- Generally not, I would of course use any drawings you have as
reference, but the final design will be my own drawing and design. If it has my
name attached to the piece of work, I want it to look the best it can
for both yours and our sake.
CAN I HAVE AN APPRENTICESHIP OR A JOB?

Unfortunately, we will not be hiring any tattooers, apprentices or staff. The
premises is a perfect size for the number of people we have already and
none of the artists wish to take on apprentices.
I WANT TO BECOME A TATTOOER, WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE ME?
- Draw a lot, get tattooed, don't expect handouts, take criticism and
advice about your work, never stop trying to learn and improve. If
you're not ready to give up everything u have then find something else
to do. Tattooing is on television now, so you are definitely not the
only one to come in or email asking about this. Treat it like any other
profession, come in with a good attitude be polite, show us some
artwork in a professional portfolio or sketch book.
I'M UNDER 18, WILL YOU TATTOO ME WITH PARENTAL CONSENT?
- No
I WAS QUOTED $80 FOR THIS DESIGN AT ANOTHER STUDIO, CAN YOU BEAT THEIR PRICE OR CAN I HAVE A DISCOUNT?
- No.
DO YOU DO PIERCINGS OR SELL PIERCING JEWELLERY?
- No.
DO YOU DO TEMPORARY TATTTOOS?
- No.
DO YOU DO UV TATTOOS?
- No.
CAN YOU PAINT OR DRAW ME SOMETHING ON COMMISSION?
- I get a little swamped with the workload i have for tattooing, that i don't have time to do drawings for personal use. If you want to get a design tattooed by another tattooer, have your artist draw something up for you. I only draw designs for my clients who are getting them tattooed.
As for paintings, I don't paint on commission. Tattooing is my profession and means to make a living, painting is my past time and a way to relax. I don't wish to paint anything to meet other peoples expectations, just my own, so no commissions sorry.
CAN YOU DO DESIGNS FOR MY CLOTHING LABEL / BAND?
- It depends on the label or band but generally no.
