Bawa. Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim
(in the Name of God most Merciful, most Compassionate)

Dear brothers&sisters, a few of us are on the road playing now, and we would like to invite you to take part in any of the following ways:

1. Bring along food to share and/or used vegetable oil
2. Photo takers and video tapers are welcome (write mikealmquist@gmail.com)
3. If you'd like to request that we play a cover song (well known is best), please feel free to bring along maybe 7 or 8 copies of the lyrics and chords and if we are at all familiar with it we can give it a shot during our set, Okay?

Also, note well that although we are playing mostly mewithoutYou songs, Rickie and Greg are not with us, so we are not using that name. The songs sound different, often gentler, so please adjust your expectations accordingly. The current lineup is as follows:

Matthew Chapin - Trumpet
Ryan Hull - Guitar, Electric Bass, Alto Saxophone
Scotty Kruger - percussion
Derek Paquette - Bass Trombone
Pete Pendleton - Upright Bass
Janka Perniss - Violin
Johnny Szczesniak - percussion
Ashley Tuthill - Oboe
Aaron Weiss - Lead vocals, accordion
Mike Weiss - Guitar
Sarah Weiss - Keyboard

with peace and much much Love, the Weiss Family

I would love to include you on a compilation I'm doing for Toys for Tots this holiday. What's the best way to reach you with more information?

I absolutely love that you guys are doing this, and while I'm sure Rickie and Greg's presence will be missed, the show will still be quite fun and unique. Good luck on tour everyone!

Though I'm not sure how much I'll be able to participate, I do have a small gift for you guys when I see you on the 28th.  Do you guys just kind of hang out in the streets pre-show?

I hope you'll release a DVD of one of the shows. I'm in New Zealand, so I won't be catching any of this tour, but would still love to see and hear a good quality version. :)

Good luck!

i wish so much that this little tour was coming to texas. i wish even more that the versions of the songs  you're going to be playing would be available on some kind of live album.

I'll be seeing you guys in Columbia, SC on Tuesday night. I have to say I'm incredible excited and interested to see you all perform in this manner. I've seen the full band about 5 or 6 times and I'm anticipating the changes. Best wishes to you all.

Peace be the Journey,
JJ

I would give you all a very big but non-creepy hug if you would come to Seattle. I would. I'd even bring brownies, or blueberry muffins, if you prefer.

I would sell my organs to see one of these shows... provided y'all swung by somewhere in Southern California. But I digress. Hope you guys stay safe on the road and, most importantly, enjoy these shows! God bless, and thank you once again for the Downtown Brew gig in San Luis Obispo. Lifechanging!

This was by far the most amazing concert experience I have ever been a part of.  From the Psalters, through Damien Jurado and yes, even the Weiss Family and Friends portion, I just felt God so strongly.  And it carried over into the parking lot afterward where we all sat and sang songs and talked.  Ryan, Ashley, Aaron, it was great meeting you all in Memphis [glad you actually know where it is ;)].  Much peace and love to everybody.

Do you guys know the song "Hallelujah" by Leornad Cohen (even though its been covered by a million people).  If you guys did know it, I was wondering if you could play it at the Virginia Beach show.  Should I bring the chords and lyrics with me?  I have 8 copies printed out :-)  I just wanted to be sure you were familiar with it.
