What timEbandit's been doing..... Tracy Redhead's debut album is mixed ( a timEbandit production thoroughly done at SpacejunkIII ) and awaiting release on Perfect Sun thru Inertia- iOTA is nominated for a Helpmann Award, UPDATE IOTA HAS WON THE HELPMAN AWARD!!!!!!!!!!! following his stunning stage performances with Hedwig and the Angry inch Spacejunk Production House is pleased to announce the signing of a co management deal for iOTA with Justin van stom iOTA and the Beauty Queens, now 3 piece with (newly drafted on bass) Andy Sharpe and the timEbandit, have finished a brilliant run of shows at Will and Tobys- building to a sellout last Thursday in July. Coming up to support the re release of the Back for Me EP are shows in Melbourne at Manchester Lane on August 29th and Sept12, with a Sydney showcase at Will and Tobys Sept 13 and 14 !!. Astreetlightsong are officially under the spacejunk management umbrella as they win on through to the final round of the online Uncharted competition.. with a cool couiple of tunes live at MTV lair getting a spin on the cable waves... The timEbandit produced EP featuring I Never Knew and 3 other tracks is due for independent release in the next month Half Light album mixes- the most patient band in the universe from Seattle, USA – ladies and kids- Half Light........ on the mixing blocks at Spacejunk as we write.. This moody cocktail of cough syrup, pedal steel, 6 string electric ambience and the floating tones of singer Dayna has sat thought the last 2 months of technical upheaval at spacejunk studios with a new computer, operating system/ new mixing desk ( on the way )... and now all is (99%) plugged/ rebooted/ aligned and smooth- WE MIX Doc Neeson Acoustic Blue album (coming out on Liberation) After a VERY intense and legendary three weeks in the studio, mostly at Garth Porters Rancom St studios in Botany, TimE Bandit (Powles) has produced a refreshingly unexpected album for the ex-Angels frontman, giving a timeless and worthy new feel and sound to the classics that have rocked Australia over the last 27 years. Engineered by Ted Howard of course... he walks his own plank. Sharpie- eclectic producer/ writer Andy Sharpe has finished his first official compilation of songs, featuring various singers and the full spacejunk production- with 6 tracks delivered to Volvo for a promo cd to accompany their new car releases!!! Motor music..... Beautiful World- at last, recorded / mixed / produced/ caressed/ loved over the last 2 years... the debut album for Benjamin "the rabbitman" Aylward's new four piece sound machine, awaiting release on Perfect Sun, thru Inertia. Hitchcocks as a full band performed an album showcase at Spectrum, Sydney on April 4th. –it was suitably engrossing and eclectic. Mark Moldre is (now recording a new solo release ) gigging around NSW- August 1st – The Vanguard, Newtown (full band show) supporting Jamie Hutchings August 3rd – The Northern Star, Newcastle (solo acoustic show) supporting Jamie Hutchings August 17th - The Dekk Bar, Terrigal September 2nd - Madame Fling Flong, Newtown (solo acoustic show) supporting Jamie Hutchings The Woodenelves have released their timEbandit produced debut Trips Between Worlds with shows in Western Australia and are attacking the radiowaves as we speak the church- Tim toured through Europe with the band all of April, starting in Budapest and finishing with some outstanding shows (electric) in the UK The band are looking at a new album recording session in late September..
Post the euro trip Tim has test driven the new studio gear with a fast and furious solo album session for fellow churchman Steve Kilbey Tentatively titled Painkiller, this bunch of 13 tracks grew from jams with master mastering wiz William Bowden- king of radiotronics and static ambience, some beats n buzzes from the timEbandit, Kilbeys magic.... and voila- now awaiting mixing. TimEbandit solo - somewhere in the nether regions of lost time and those extra hours after 99 past 12, Tim has been finding files n feelings to throw towards a new solo cd for himself- collaborating with anyone who dares say yes- .... David Skeet has mixed various projects at Spacejunk, including Shelley Harland, a debut for Chasing the SUN, and solo tracks for guitarist James Harland. David also ably jumped into the mix chair for a few on Doc Neesons album, and recorded an acoustic track for daughters of psychadelia Bright Red.
