Not to get nostalgic, but I just saw a music video from 1990 that took me back to the 8th grade, when I was dating this very nice girl named Mackenzie Smith.

Mackenzie and I dated for over 6 months...which is like a 25 year marriage for an 8th Grader. When we were dating, Mackenzie's favorite song was "One More Try," by a guy named Timmy T. Never heard of him? No surprise. I think this was his one hit wonder and then he was never heard from again.

Anyway, Mackenzie loved this song, which meant I had to hear it about 7,000 times.

So you can imagine my surprise in seeing the video, after 18 years, on my television this afternoon.

After I got over the normal "Am I really that old?" comments, I couldn't help but think back to those days...not just the ones with Mackenzie...but with all of those crazy people from Holy Rosary in Claymont, Delaware (Timmy Houtman!).
