Wisps of hate escape with each syllable

re....re...re...

wind and check the pretense.

Ignore the charades in their defense, Yes..

it's true, these words were elected by Popular Vote.

Like the righteous lowlife bottom-feeders,

Smiling, Waving,

passing themselves off as leaders.

Although the verbage be switched,

We CANNOT let the meaning has missed.

And yes, i'll confess;

I wish i could fight more and cry less,

because this profit system is meaningless

if you don't stand for gain..

But everyone. i mean EVERYONE stands for change.

What is it to stand for change?

To stand for improvement?

Innovation?

Peace?...Loooove?

Embedded in all of these words is a sense of gain.

A sense that are better off after the fact.

That we should learn, and absorb,

like a child, like a sponge,

like a father teaches his son...

Like a student heeding words-

words combined creating meaning

Painted in my eyes.

And they say the greatest gift is to give,

so that another can recieve.

But what if we percieve

each benifit as a detriment, and

the more we know,

the worse we feel,

can you tell me which one is real?

please, go ahead..

go ahead and try!

paint me a lesson that will change my mind.

ok, so here are my notes on this. if you know me you understand the influences in this one. it's my first ever EVER EVER slam of ANY sort. let me stress this. it's the first. ever. by me (mmk?).

if you read it. i want feedback. because the last thing i need is to see 1001293 people read it (because i'm so popular.. right?) and have zero comments.
