From DJ Jumpy:
Saturday Night: Question Mark Benefit @ Laila Lounge
Admission is $5--a mere bag of shells.
The Brilliant Mistakes canceled.
We added DJ Rich Sibello.
Raffle, not a dance contest, for some vintage film posters not a '90s QM poster.
Eric Fusco is a charming & dangerous guy.
OK?
Singer of the '60s rock n roll classic "96 Tears," Question Mark, lost everything in a fire. He had no insurance. Here is the lineup for a benefit to be held on Saturday, Feb. /24 @ Laila Lounge, 113 N. 7th St.Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.
The bands the Subway Surfers & the Greyhounds play live between 8-11PM.
From then until 4AM, we blast '60s garage rock and soul. Phast Phreddie* (Subway Soul Club), Michael Lynch (Pop Gear), Chas Kit (Switched On, Garage Hangover), Rich Sibello (WFDU's Classic Soul Blow Out) and myself, Jumpy (Soul a G0-G0, Flip City), are the DJs.
Only $5! All proceeds go to Question Mark.
You can't lose with the stuff I use (and don't you chose no substitute).

*Fuzzco here - These so-called DJs are pretty much just a motley collection of record collector scum. Competent and somewhat enjoyable to listen to. The real attraction here is Phast Phreddie, the only REAL DJ in New York. All others (I'm looking at YOU Bazooka Jerk) are just pretenders to the throne.
