Yesterday 30th April, Acoustika played at a wedding at the new Radisson Golden Sands hotel at Ghajn Tuffieha.  A really beautiful hotel. The only flaw is that parking is next to impossible.  I can't understand how they build such a deluxe hotel and then do not plan for adequate parking facilities especially when catering for wedding receptions.

Anyway, it was a nice experience.  It was our first time playing with a certain Aldo Consiglio on drums. As you know our regular percussionist passed away in 2004, ie, Luis Naudi (you can hear him on the three samples from our CD in http://myspace.com/acoustikatrio ) .  Well we have been experimenting with many percussionists/drummers and lately we have played mostly with Alex Debono - a really good drummer.  But this Aldo Consiglio's style reminds us more of our beloved Louis Naudi  - he seems more inclined towards latin.

This summer we are playing at three weddings.  The first is ready - yesterday's. The second is in June - having Alex Debono on drums, and the third is in August having the excellent Joe Micallef on drums. For the August wedding we will have the talented Fiona Cauchi singing with us too. This last wedding will be at the Corinthia San George lido area, underneath the Henry J Beans -- so probably if you walk around that area you will be able to listen to us!
