*** Friday 9/14, 10:00, the DIPSOMANIACS return to John and Peters in New Hope, PA for a very special show. Opening up will be Lost Patrol (http://www.myspace.com/dipsomaniacs, http://www.myspace.com/johnandpeters). The Dipsos will be featuring songs we've recorded for our next album (we begin mixing in October!) as well as old favorites and of course our usual dose of obvious and obscure covers.

*** Friday 9/21, 10:30, THE SUCCESSFUL FAILURES will be in Philadelphia, PA at the North Star Bar playing with former Feelies members Glenn Mercer and Wild Carnation. The North Star is located at 2639 Poplar St. Philadelphia, PA 19130 - cool venue, should be a great show. http://www.thesuccessfulfailures.com

*** Saturday 9/29, the DIPSOMANIACS will be in Parlin, NJ at Buddie's Tavern with an excellent line-up of bands put together by Blow-up Radio. The show is a benefit event for the Spondylitis Association of America. Dipsos are scheduled to go on at 8:00. For more info check out http://www.blowupradio.com

CD Releases:

*** The 21 song benefit CD, ABOUT A GIRL, is scheduled to be released on October 23rd. Every song on the album features a girl's name in the chorus and title. To get the job done we've assembled an awesome collection of NJ and Philadelphia indie-rock and garage pop bands. Songs include covers of Elvis Costello's "Alison", Velvet Underground's "Stephanie Says", Bob Dylan's "Queen Jane Approximately", The Kinks "Victoria", ACDC's "Whole Lotta Rosie", Weezer's "Suzanne", The Looking Glass's "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)", and many more. PREORDER FOR THIS AWESOME DISC WILL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 1– official release date is set at 10/23. The first 100 lucky folks to buy the CD will receive a limited pressing 6-song bonus CD.
