So....there has been some radio silence on the ebay/website end, but I'm gearing back up!

I finished my very first cake-themed tissue-box cozy and I have many more coming up! They will be posted soon for sale.

This little cake project has also inspired me to work on a cute mini-book/pamphlet project, too, so hopefully I'll find time to do that.

Also as you may or may not have noticed, I posted a banner for a new silly blog I've been wanting to put together in celebration of the weird stuff I sometimes eat. I had a backlog of yuckysnack videos, and I figured I might as well organize them all in one space!

click the banner to hit up www.IEatYuckyStuff.com

I also finally gave in and created a Facebook page for my company. If you are on it, come say hi!

Twinkie's Facebook Page
(If the link doesn't work...sorry! I'm still figuring out the insanity that is Facebook.)

Ummm here's a scarf I finally made for my cousin in Hong Kong. I don't usually knit, so this was kind of a fun break:

Aaaaannnd....lastly, here is a peek into the culinary adventures of our dogs:

Our dogs eat mostly raw, a combo of 1/2 dehydrated mix and 1/2 frozen meat patties. We also mix up their meals with different things like bananas, steamed broccoli, yogurt, sardines, steamed carrots. They don't seem to like green beans much....! Anyway, the above was a raw egg w/ shell and drumstick/chickenwing night, with a little parsley for the bad breafs.

Also, I was super proud of my doggie treat corner. I tend not to organize things very well and don't want to spend money on containers for things...but....containers are AWESOME!!!! It's the little things....

From left to right: corn/soy/wheat-free doggie treats, dried chicken strips with mint n parsley, bully sticks, and the little jar has a mix of freeze dried liver and freeze dried green tripe nuggets. Num Num!

For fourth of July we had a few friends over and bbq'd some stuff. There was way too much food and we ended up eating bbq leftovers for almost a whole week!!!!!

DANG, I LOVE CORN!

as always....love your blogs : )
but my vet told me never to feed my dog raw meat - please check with your vet if that is ok!
she said it runs a very high risk of bacteria and has been known to kill pets.

just had to share.

kisses and cupcakes,
amy

Hey Amy, thanks for your thoughts! Yes, feeding raw is seen as many to be a fad, and not good for dogs. But on the other hand, we have to think about how kibble is not found in nature: animals are. There is a big kaffufel over feeding raw and I have done a lot of research, but Bibi has many health issues that I feel are being helped by her raw diet. Our vet knows. I think if careful research is done and the food is handled responsibly, that there are many benefits. Many vets are also not taught about different kinds of diets and will want everyone to revert to kibble. Also dogs' digestive tracts are much shorter than humans and most bacteria pass right through them into the poop!

I agree with the raw meat diet. I read in Holistic pets that when feeding meat in general to keep in mind what they would find in the wild a dog wouldn't really eat beef all the time.. it couldn't kill a cow alone unless it was a mastiff or a Rottweiler and still being one of those dogs would take it some time to take down a cow. Anyway... Things like Lamb, Turkey and chicken are fine for dogs even raw. The big thing though is making sure that the bird bones are not in the food unless they are pressure cooked. Reason is that bird bones are hollow and can become shards and cut the delicate lining of the intestines during digestion.

My dogs favorite recipe is
Organic ground turkey
cooked basmati or brown rice mixed with egg
steamed veggies that varied but mainly contained
carrot
tiny bits of celery and parsley (for breath)
fresh garlic ( good for keeping away parasites and other bad things)
green beans or brocoli cut small and peas
and a little bit of brewers yeast

P.S.
I love how you keep the treats in glass jars my Foxie would be jealous

Hmm. Loved the crochet and knit. I don't think I was psychologically prepared for the "dog food." It kinda made me want to vomit.
:) Blech!!!

Hi!

I really like your "food that looks like other food theme" I'm going to incorporate it into vegan nite!

*I really like Shaw"s brand canned spaghetti.
You also might enjoy American cheese sandwiches dipped in cold spaghetti sauce, YUM!
