Who Gives Kudos:

Monday, April 14, 2008
Yesterday was an interesting, exhilarating and wonderful day. After years of relative inactivity, the Clubfoot Orchestra performed three of our scores to silent film at the Castro Theater. This was an all day affair, with weeks of preparation, and it felt great to be back on board with these great musicians and friends, some of whom I've now known for over twenty years.
It felt in some ways that we have never played better together. Everyone in CFO has been actively engaged in the process of making music with all sorts of projects over the last ten years- with less to prove and more to offer as musicians and ensemble players.
I feel very grateful to have been involved with this band and this current project for all these reasons and more. Thanks for the gig!

Steve,
I really wanted to go but the distance proved to be too great at this moment. I'm glad everything went so well. I hope to see you sometime in the not so distant future..

Take care,

Brian Scott Phraner

btw,

Not sure if any recordings were made. I know someone videotaped it. We are also playing in Tijuana and Mexicali next. We'll see what happens!
