Current mood: sleepy
so i was driving to work the other morning and i saw a homeless person doing tai chi. i was going to call him "a crazy homeless person" but for all i know, he may just be very health conscious and trying to find a moment of zen in his life ... then it struck me, it seems like quite a few homeless people do this tai chi thing ... i wondered why you never see the homeless playing air guitar or pretending they're playing a piano or drums ... it's always tai chi ... i mean, other than the occasional "american idol playing to the panning camera" move, most of the time my movements when i don't think anyone is watching (i.e., when i'm driving) are music-related. then i wondered ... how many homeless people have seen "the karate kid" ... you know, the one with ralph macchio ... because, while you see the homeless doing tai chi all the time, you never see them doing the one karate move that every guy who doesn't know karate thinks he knows ... the crane or whatever it's called ... you also never see them doing the mr. miyagi "wax on, wax off" move ... and what was the lesson supposed to be in that scene anywayz. i imagine the number of homeless people who have seen "the karate kid" would actually be very surprising ... either for its very high number (like 92%) or its very low number (like 4%) ... anyway, that's what i've been thinking a lot about this weekend.
