RULES FOR LSNYC BATTLES

1. NO HEAD-SHOTS! Period.

2. For those who do not BYOSaber, there is a $5 participation fee. Lightsabers a'int free ya know! teams will be chosen RANDOMLY. Reach in the bag, grab a saber. Red or Blue, that's your team.

3. The goal is to "KILL" your opponent. A strike to the torso is a KILL. If you are struck, or grazed in the stomach, chest, or back, you cry out in agony and drop to the ground. Your saber may then be picked up and used by another soldier on your team. We have more soldiers than sabers, so we must takes turns. This is known as RUSSIAN REVOLUTION STYLE. (If you don't understand, read yer history)

4. If your limb is struck, that limb is then CUT OFF. If it's an arm, you put the arm behind your back and continue fighting. If a leg, you must hop around on one leg. Both legs? You fight on your knees. (It's only a flesh wound!)

5. If you are wounded, you may RETREAT FROM BATTLE, pass your lightsaber to another soldier and make your way (limp, hobble, whatever) to a HEALER. Healers carry GREEN or CLEAR SABERS. Once your are touched with GREEN or CLEAR SABER, your limbs are restored and you may reclaim a saber and continue the battle when one becomes available.

NOTE: As you retreat from battle your opponent may CHOOSE to allow your retreat, or choose to slay you in your wounded state. If he/she choose the latter, your are slain, though your oppenent loses HONOR.

6. If you are KILLED, your fellow soldiers may carry you off the field to a HEALER who will REVIVE a dead solider. A dead soldier can only be revived THREE TIMES!! Then you dead for good.

Awards will be given at the end for fighting skill, bravery, and honorable combat.
