As a fan since the beginning, I just want you to know how much I appreciate you providing your music at REASONABLE PRICES. Piracy has been such a great option for those of us who feel that a single CD isn't worth 15/20 bucks. Vast and Jon Crosby have shown that great MUSICIANS don't need to force us to pay an arm and a leg for their music. While greedy rockstars like Lars Ulrich of Metallica force their fans, and anyone else who wants their music, to pay outrageous prices first for their music, then their concerts. This has never happened with Vast (even though the first few albums were out on CD under major recording companies, Vast has been about the music and has never charged more than they should for a concert).

The interesting thing behind this, is that since Vast doesn't need to rely on a record company, doesn't need to rely on marketers, or radio play, or MTV play for that matter, it means less cost to produce and album, which means less cost to the fan/consumer. If Vast makes 1-2 dollars from each download after studio time and bandwidth cost, that's a hell of a good profit for a band.

Vast has joined NIN, Radiohead, and Saul Williams on the forefront of saying 'FUCK YOU!' to the recording industry, and has given the fans the real benefit from music.

Salute!
Jason

You mean NIN, Radiohead and Saul Williams have joined VAST ;)

Jon's been doing this since 2003 or 2004 when he released Turquoise and Crimson as 10 song downloads for $2.99.

Keep up the good work, Jon!
