Hmm... Cali......

OK..........

So the flight was nice.
Half of it was spent sitting next to a little girl that needed help with her second grade homework. I made sure she aced it. The rest was spent asleep.
There was mild turbulence..... ok ..... it got pretty bad at one point.
Oh well though.... enough about the flight.

As soon as I exited the airport doors I was approached by a man collecting donations for Compton kids.
This is how the convo went.

Him - "Hey man......"
Me - "Hey."
Him - "How long you been growin them dreads?"
Me - "About 6 years or so."
Him - " 6 years? Them Muthafuckas look goooooood!"
Me - " Hey thanks, man."
Him - "Alright! Talk to ya later, brutha."

He approached me again later and I donated 5 dollars.

I was picked up by my friend Lindsey's mom and her big, beautiful black man, Keith.
The next 4 and a half hours was spent driving around the various ghettos of L.A., looking for chicken sausage.
While I don't ingest such things, the journey was amazing.

Fast forward to getting to the apartment.
I bring my bags in, and then Lindsey and I head out to a raw vegan potluck.
Great food, Steel Reserve 40 ounces, and lots of rad people equals a pretty badass first night.

Oh.... Theres also a chipotle within walking distance, and a kickass park is pretty much the backyard.

Good times.
Good times.
