First of all Shepard Smith needs a smack upside the head..as other news outlets were reporting the NAME of the shooter, Mr. Smith wanted to 'air on the side of caution'. Caution for what...you arrogant ass.
Now as far as what has happened at Fort Hood. Of course at the first shot reporting, our instinct was Islam...terror...and to say it was not is lying. This is NOT PSTD, this is not a lone gunman...this was reportedly two individuals, planned, execution style attack. I have said, to the chagrin of many, that the US Military needs to cleanse itself from within - straighten up from the TOP and stop the PC, free for all nonsense. I do not blame those on the ground, the soldier..never will...this to me is the tip of the iceberg that is about ready to explode.
The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, R-Texas, told Fox News that military
sources informed her that the gunman was about to be deployed to Iraq.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.
Hasan allegedly opened fire and killed 11 people on the base before he was shot, bringing the total number of fatalities to 12.
The general said there were "eyewitness accounts of more than one shooter," and the others were tracked to an adjacent facility.
Cone called the attack "a terrible tragedy, stunning." He said the community was "absolutely devastated."
President Obama called the Fort Hood shootings a "horrific outburst of violence."

eports that Hasan, 39, is a licensed psychiatrist from Silver Spring, Md.
A Fort Hood press release confirmed that "more than one shooter
fired shots into the Soldiers Readiness Processing Center and Howze
Theater on Fort Hood."
According to Cone, the shooting began at 1:30 p.m. in the Soldier
Readiness Center, a facility where soldiers receive medical treatment
and fill out paperwork in preparation for deployment.
The victims of the shooting have not been identified but Cone said
that the slain included U.S. soldiers and a civilian police officer
working at the base. He said that no children had been killed to his
knowledge.
ON FNC, Rep Carter reports as of 6:17PM that they are still looking for another suspect on the Ft.Hood base....he also stated that they two held have been released, but he was a bit sketchy on that...
Of course we keep them all in our prayers, that goes without saying..but for me, this is a deeply, deeply alarming and emergency situation.

FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - A U.S. Army spokesman says the Fort Hood
shootings suspect is alive and was not killed by authorities responding
to the attack. Lt. Gen. Bob Cone also says the death toll from the
attack remains 12 after another victim died.
Authorities said
immediately after Thursday's attack that they had killed the suspected
shooter. But Cone now says the suspected shooter is alive and stable
condition.
Cone offered little explanation to reporters at a news
conference as to why the suspect was believed dead, saying only there
was confusion at the hospital.
