Yes, that's right!
August 10th see's the new Department S release and it's a 4 track EP. It's released on the usual download sites and also on limited edition 'coloured vinyl' CD.
You get 4 tracks for your buck and they are:
Wonderful Day - Radio Edit
Clap Now - The unreleased follow up to 'Is Vic There?' (Produced by Mott The Hoople)
My Coocachoo - Micko Mix
Wonderful Day - Album version
As ever, it will be released on Sartorial Records. Wonderful Day includes guest appearances from Glen Matlock and Marco Pirroni. How about that for Punk rock Royalty!
The version of 'Clap Now' was recorded in 1980 as the follow up to 'Is Vic There?' and was produced by Buffin and Overend from Mott The Hoople.
The track was rejected by the record company (Great peice of art lads, but not a single) and this see's it's first ever official release. Digitally remastered and everything. This is a totally different recording to the version released on the Department S album, 'Sub-stance'. Fans of Interpol and Franz Ferdinand should hear this track to see where it all started. :)
Dont forget there is now a Department S Facebook page, which can be found via the link below.
