All right. I get the logic of having the Fall Tourney on grass to end the Summer season, and the Spring Tourney on concrete to end the Winter season.
Even though Chicago did not play this winter on anything, and really prefers the grass game, we are now looking for a park that will have both facilities if it turns out that most folk want to play on hardcourt.

We're still trying to get ahold of other out-of-town teams to come make The Champeenships bigger and better, but it looks like Dayton and Columbus Ohio both play on cement. Lexington, KY I don't know, Kansas City has never played, but they might send up 3 people just cos they're awesome. Minneapolis, I still haven't gotten ahold of. Detroit can't come, which makes me sad. Indiana and Iowa are unknown, but there is a regular game in Nebraska who I wrote to.

So: Majority rules. As teams RSVP they should reply to this posting with a choice of surfaces.

Chicago: Grass

Lexington plays on concrete but we are down for anything we are trying to round up some players to come up. Can we have more than one team?

Quit your equivocating and vote. MKE:grass or MKE:cement. Say what you'd prefer to play on. I promise not to be offended.
I just don't want to spend my evenings scoping parks, roller hockey rinks, tennis courts, and fenced-in parking lots if I don't have to.

Oh, and just to update, I've made contact with the Twin Cities. They're working out the details, but they want in. That's four states/five teams so far. Six if KC can make it, seven to ten if any of the people in OH (Cinnci, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland) who I've writen to get back to me. This is gonna be sweet. Someone's got to challenge the Wisconson Powerhouses.

And I'm still upset that Detroit can't come, but they have earned the by: They are graduating from University that morning. Congratulations to them.

Madison is of the oppinion that cement is for the best but will play whatever comes our way. Also Madison is bringing three teams that will kick ass this time.
