As posted by the straw haired PR machine on another site:
"Kurt Michaels is pleased to announce two upcoming performances,
opening for The Syn on their 2009 American tour.

Michaels will play at Shank Hall in Milwaukee, Monday, May 11 and at
Martyr’s in Chicago on Tuesday, May 12.

The performances will mark a departure of sorts from the fourth
dimensional guitar approach that Michaels has utilized over the past
several years in his improvisational ambient appearances. While
soundscapes will remain a part of the performances, both shows will
feature several songs from his forthcoming CD tentatively titled
Soaring Back to Earth. Didn’t Get to Say Goodbye, a tribute to
Michaels’ brother Fred, will be among the new compositions played.
These are written more in the traditional singer-songwriter vein, but
with the ambient backdrops that one has come to expect from his music.

Joining Michaels onstage in both Milwaukee and Chicago will be his
usual partner in crime, keyboardist Jim Gully. The Martyr’s
performance, however, will have the added luxury of Michaels’ full
band, which will also appear on the forthcoming CD.

“I’m looking forward to taking some of the new material out for a test drive in a live setting," Michaels said.

Both shows start at 8 p.m. Tickets for Milwaukee are $20. Martyr’s
tickets are $17 in advance, $20 at the door.

Shank Hall is located at 1434 N. Farwell Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53202,

Martyr’s is located at 3855 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL,

"This is very good news", said Brandon. "I believe that this will be a solid opportunity for Kurt to present his music".
"Not only that", he added, "but the tickets are about as cheap as they get!"

Thanks Brandon! Well I think that you have Steve Nardelli to thank for the low ticket prices. He's doing everything he can to give the reconstituted Syn a chance to win over some new fans, and holding down the prices is part of his plan. I feel very fortunate to be taken along for part of the ride.

I'll have to see what the work schedule and money sitch is. I have many friends who are doing things I wish to support both with my hard-earned shekels and with my presence. I will do the private message thingy.
