Interview questions answered by drummer, David.
Tell us a little about the band history.Evan
(guitar) and I (David, drums) have been playing for what seems like
forever. We got Andrew on bass in June 2008 and from there we've been a
solid band.
I see that you guys are coming out with a new full length album in awhile, what can we expect from that record?Well
first of all, it'll be a while. We have tracking almost completely done
for 5 songs but we are going to be remixing and remastering as well as
redoing some vocals for those songs. We are just starting to write the
second half of the album, but we only have two songs done for it. The
album will be like the two demos we released in last June, it's more
rock based then our old stuff but it's still better than anything we've
ever done.
Who are your inspirations? And why?Theres
are a lot. First and foremost for me, The Beatles. I love The Beach
Boys, Neil Young, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen
and all of those classics. In terms of sound and stuff though, Green
Day, Set Your Goals, Blink-182, The Swellers, and all that pop punk
stuff. The Gaslight Anthem, Against Me!, Kings Of Leon, and Paramore
kind of round out the rock side of things. We're basically a mixture of
that fast pop punk stuff and the more rock based stuff. I'd be lying if
I denied we listened to Paramore sometimes haha.
What is the most played song in your iPod?Evan: "Angry Johnny And The Radio" - The Gaslight Anthem
David: "When I Come Around" - Green Day
Andrew: "This Is My Everest" - The Swellers
If you guys were not playing music, what do you think you will be doing?I'd
probably be way more into politics but, really, all any of us want to
do is play music. We just want to have a goodtime and hope this lasts
for a good run.
Lastly, any shoutouts?Thanks
to the dudes in The Swellers for all the advice on playing music. And
of course all of our friends in the following bands: Free Yon, A Lesser
Evil, Overated, Two Cow Garage, Sanus Valde, Frame By Frame, The Danger
Brothers, Completely Smitten, Viewmaster 3D, and A Big Crash. Thanks
