A little while back Buttercup's fiddler Maestro Spike picked up an old pedal steel down at the WalMark (same place he got his drivers license and high school diploma). Well he brings it down to the basement when the mood hits him, and we been having some fun for sure. We recently debuted the new sound to a very enthusiastic (though somewhat inebriated) crowd at Bottoms Up PIzza. Here are the pedal steel songs so far:
Playboy (Wynn Stewart)
Weary Blues from Waitin (Hank Sr)
Out of My Mind (Don Rich and the Buckaroos)
Lonely Street (Bill Phillips, Kitty Wells)
Half a Mind (Ernest Tubb)
Foggy River (Jean Shepard)
Apartment 9 (Johnny Paycheck)
I'll Go Down Swingin (Porter Wagoner)
Pretty World Today (Wynn Stewart)
Other new covers:
Big Ball's in Cowtown (Bob Wills)
If you got the money I got the time (Merle Haggard)
I Wonder Where You Are Tonight (Louvin Bros)
