Who Gives Kudos:

Current mood:  grateful

I am thankful for the gift of music in my life.

I am thankful for my mother, who has always supported me with her whole spirit.  Thank you for being so strong, and for teaching me that it is ok to be weak.  Thank you for picking me up even when you were carrying the world on your shoulders.

I am thankful for my beautiful family- as disjointed and broken as it may seem.

Kimber- I am thankful for your sense of humor.  You always make me laugh, and your smiles are infectious.  I'll never forget our trip home from Louisiana!!

Bgyra- I am thankful for our car rides, long talks, and just your company.  You never cease to amaze me with your spirit.

Wally- You are my rock.  I am so grateful to have you to call when I'm in need of sanity.  You are the only man that has been in my life since day 1, and you are the best big brother we girls could ever ask for.

Cody- Where the hell are you? lol.  I'm grateful that when I get to see you, you always have a smile on your face.  You make me laugh.  You are adorable and full of life.

Frank- Thank you for loving me and raising me.  You taught me how to work hard, and how to never give up.

Pops- Thank you for waking me up in the mornings with your blaring guitar riffs.  Thank you for your stupid sense of humor- it makes my good gigs even better!  Thank you for teaching me compassion.

To all my music fans- Thank you for believing in me, even at times when i didn't believe in myself.  Thank you for listening, and for being touched, and for sharing those moments of closeness that only music can provide.

There is no particular reason for this blog- except that I am feeling very grateful for my life.  I used to think I needed a lot of money or huge success to be happy.  I used to constantly chase perfection.

I just found perfection in this moment.  Thank you for sharing it with me.

    Love,

    Melody

Thanks for this blog post!

I wish more people would take into consideration what it really is we all need to be happy, serene, comfortable, and to feel loved

Cuz it isn't not money, jewelry or cars, or houses so huge you never even walk through all the rooms, those are things you can NEVER get enough of and always want more!

- it is all the things you mentioned

well, also those damned nutter butter cookies, throw those in and you got a few extra pounds but man are they worth it!!:)

L8R,

Jason

Boy, sweetheart, that blog came at a perfect time. To be simply thankful for what we have is so precious. I miss you. I miss your beautiful spirit. I miss your family! I sure do love you, Mellybelly.

Melody, you definately have a lot to be thankful for. That talent of yours is a blessing to all those of us who are fortunate enough to hear it. Those of us who have met you in person are doubly blessed. I just wish we could have gotten to know you better while you were here. Be prepared to fight your way back out of town when you come back for a visit. And I am serious about the music video. You have a look that is great on camera and you have great stories to tell. Take care, George
