Recorded by Mitch Marlow and Al Jacob at Warrior Sound Studio in Chapel Hill (Idea of Beauty, Advent), The Black Unicorn Split is a classic example of the bond between North Carolina's finest brother bands He is Legend and Classic Case. Each band will contribute a cover of the others' songs ("Modus Operandi" & "China White" respectively), as well as interpretations of hits by classic artists Reba McEntire and Jeff Buckley ("Fancy" & "Nightmares By the Sea"). As a special bonus, the Black Unicorn split will include a never-before released He is Legend song, "Cape Fear," exclusive to this release, recorded by super-producer Matt Squier (Panic! at the Disco, The Receiving End of Sirens) in 2005.
