long time no see!!

our oneman show is getting close, and now we're rehearsing many times.
a little bit busy indeed, it's very fun and joyful to rehearse for the show!

on 6/6 we prepare for some special things so you will find not only seeing our show,

1) if you book the ticket or buy the ticket in advance, you can get our newest CD-R (not for sale, and only available on 6/6)! we covered oooooold song (originally composed in 1815) and perhaps all of you know the song. check it out

2) do you know super sexy pianist Kevin McHugh? to express GENERIC MUSIC's sound more, we invite him as a guest player. we have already rehearsed several times and we got more strong, more great sound, so i heartly want you to come and see us!

Kevin McHugh is an American pianist and composer who has performed in a variety of groups and with notable musicians ranging from jazz drummer Billy Hart, saxophonist Gary Bartz, trumpeter Marcus Belgrave, trombonist Robin Eubanks, Salah Ragab (Egyptian drummer for Sun Ra), trumpeter Peter Evans, Jovino Santos-Neto (flutist and pianist with Hermeto Pascoal), to Fugazi bassist Joe Lally, Japanese noise musician Astro, punk bassist Mike Watt and Brazilian singer Zé de Riba. Besides working on blues, solo electronic music, noise rock, ballet and tap dance accompaniment, and musical improv comedy, Kevin has also performed with the avant metal jazz band Capillary Action, the San Francisco Mime Troupe and BATS Improv.

Kevin McHugh has lived in or around cities including Seattle, Berlin, San Francisco, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, São Paulo, Mumbai and Cairo, performing as a leader or sideman in many prominent venues, and has toured over 100 cities in the United States. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Oberlin College and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.  In 2006 he won a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, a $25,000 grant to research the sound and music of megacities.  He currently lives in Tokyo.
